Executive Committee

What the committee does

Between meetings of the Lake Union Constituency, the Executive Committee has administrative power to act on its behalf. It appoints Union leaders and committees, fills vacancies, grants and withdraws credentials and licenses, and handles executive business in harmony with Union, Division and General Conference policies.

Who serves

Some members serve automatically because of their position: the Union officers, vice president and associate treasurer, the local conference presidents and one officer from each, the Andrews University president, and the president of AdventHealth Great Lakes Region.

Additional members come from the field, chosen with care for ethnic, gender, geographic and lay and pastor balance.
