About Ted

Ted Huskins is a second-generation Seventh-day Adventist Christian who grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, nurtured by devout Christian parents. His educational journey began at Fletcher Academy, where he served as student association president. He then attended Southern Adventist University, earning degrees in theology and physical education, followed by a Master of Divinity from Andrews University. Currently, Ted is pursuing a doctoral degree in business administration at Johnson & Wales University.

Professionally, Ted has dedicated his life to serving the church in various capacities. He began as a local church pastor, serving for 18 years in multiple congregations ranging from small multi-church districts to larger communities. He was then called to serve as vice-president of Adventist Consulting for Coleman Stewardship Services. Two years later, he became president of the firm, which he and his wife later purchased. Cynthia now serves as president of Coleman Stewardship.

After seven years, Ted transitioned to serve as executive secretary of the Northern New England Conference, followed by a tenure as president of the same conference. He then served as executive secretary of the Atlantic Union Conference before answering God’s call to serve as executive secretary of the Lake Union Conference.

Ted and his wife, Cynthia, have five children and two grandchildren. Together, they enjoy traveling, exploring family history and archaeology, and cheering on their favorite baseball and college basketball teams. Above all, the couple’s greatest joy is serving the Lord, and their lives are dedicated to His service and the advancement of His Church.
