About the Lake Union
Sharing the good news of Christ across the Great Lakes
The Lake Union is an integral part of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. Our primary objective is to share the “good news” of Christ’s saving grace with every individual within our territory.
Our mission statement
Know Christ. Make Him known.
This is the mission statement that guides the Lake Union through this five-year term: that every member grows in knowing Jesus, and is equipped to share Him.
To know Christ
Growth that lasts. We provide resources for inspiration and spiritual development, for members, pastors and churches.
To make Him known
Ready to share. We equip members to witness, share their faith and serve the people around them.

What guides us
How we serve
Three commitments shape the work of the union.
01
Preparing a people
We are committed to helping prepare a people for the soon return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
02
Every member in ministry
We heartily endorse the caring church concept as a way of involving every member in ministering to the needs of God’s children.
03
Working together
We coordinate the efforts of members, churches and institutions in our territory, and pledge personnel and means to support the World Church.
